We will also visit the orchid reserve of the Colombian Orchid Society, the national flower of the country. We will be in the colonial city of Santa Fe de Antioquia, founded in 1541. It is located near the Cauca River, the second longest river in the country and has in its surroundings the last remnants of tropical dry forest remaining in Colombia. We will also visit the natural refuge of the Rio Claro Canyon, one of the most beautiful in the country, located in a karstic tropical rainforest and one of the relicts of Pleistocene forest.
