Day 1 - NEIVA - TIERRADENTRO

Arrival in Neiva. Reception at the airport. Departure to Tierradentro, a journey that will last approximately 4 hours.

We will go up the central mountain range and bordering the banks of the Páez river we will arrive at the San Andrés de Pisimbalá hamlet. Arrival at the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.


Day 2 - TIERRADENTRO ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK

Breakfast. Departure in the morning to visit the Archaeological Park of Tierradentro, Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO 1995), where are the magnificent underground constructions (Hypogeums) with color decorations and incisions in the rock that draw an indigenous house and its protective spirits. Later we will visit the Archaeological and Anthropological Museums

In the afternoon you can choose any of the following tours:

  • Tour to Las Pirámides, an exceptional viewpoint of the deep valleys of the Ullucos and Páez rivers
  • Walk to the hamlet of San Andrés de Pisimbalá, visit the Casa del Cabildo, and visit handicraft shops
  • Tour to the doctrinal temple of Santa Rosa

Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.


Day 3 - TIERRADENTRO - SAN AGUSTÍN

Breakfast. Departure in the morning to San Agustín, a tour that will last approximately 6 hours. Arrival, dinner and accommodation.


DAY 4 - SAN AGUSTIN ARCHAELOGICAL PARK

Breakfast. Departure at 09:00 a.m. Visit to the Archaeological Park of San Agustín, Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO 1995), the open-air museum with the most important concentration of pre-Columbian monumental art in an area of ​​78 hectares and visit the Mesitas A, B, C and D; The Ceremonial Fountain of Lavapatas, the Forest of Statues and the Archaeological Museum.

In the afternoon you can pick one of the following tours:

  • Tour in 4x4 truck to Tablon and La Chaquira
  • Scenic cycle route, enjoy the colors and aromas of the Colombian Massif through peasant roads (3 hours)
  • Vehicle tour to one of the wonders that nature gives us in the Colombian Massif: The Magdalena River Strait, a spectacular rocky gorge where the most important river in Colombia is forced to pass through a 2.20 meters wide gorge.
  • Visit to the DOÑA CLELIA museum workshop where banana fiber is woven, an ingenious activity that originates in this place and today its fabrics are exhibited in many parts of the world
  • Tour to the Archaeological Park of Alto de Los Ídolos at Isnos.
  • The spectacular waterfall of Salto del Mortiño (180 Mts)

DAY 5 - SAN AGUSTÍN - CHECKOUT
